Community Assistance Program
This program intends to aid pet owners in NWT communities in managing the excessive costs of feeding their pets. Some families in remote communities are in a situation where they can not afford to feed their pets. Prices of pet food within the communities are significantly higher than in larger centres due to remote location and methods of shipping. With the implementation of the Pet Food Assistance Program, the NWT SPCA can help pet owners with these costs. This may help reduce the number of surrenders and will also promote better care of pets in communities.

Pet owners in the communities can click the link below to order food or visit the Merchandise page. Orders are shipped out to individual communities twice per month.
